The 6th Month

Ashley & Austin's Journal
October 1998

Ashley and Austin's 6 month journal.

Well we made it all the way to 6 months. I can't belive how fast the time has gone by. I am so proud of Austin and myself for making it this far. It has been our biggest goal so far and we did it. Now that Austin and I have met our biggest goal to date. You might be wondering if we are going to continue. Well of course we are! The next goal is for 1 year.

At Austins 6 month check up he weighed 17 pounds 2 ounces and he was 28 inches long. He was 50% in weight and 75% in height. We haven't done much with solid foods and the doctor wasn't to happy about that. On the few occasions that we have tried solids Austin would make the worst face and spit them all out. One night he even threw them all up. I feel like I know my baby and that he just isn't ready for solid foods yet.

We are still attending La Leche League meetings once a month. We also attend a mom's club which is a breastfeeding support group. It is really a wonderful thing. I love having friends who belive in the same things that I do.
