Dreamcatcher-Poem By Ginger Strivelli A dreamcatcher is suppose to somehow magically trap All nightmares and assorted disturbing subconscious crap But can it also manage to banish those pleasant dreams that evaporate and vanish When I wake to only dull cruel reality And find the joy and excitement was just fantasy? Can the webbed charm chase away or ensnare Those dreams of happiness that are unreal and unfair? Nightmares I can usually endure and always recover from But waking up from those enchanting dreams leaves me numb. Can my dreamcatcher charm protect me from those? For they are the dreams that are my worst foes. I don't want to dream of fear and panic and pain But I'd rather not dream of contentment that only will wane Once I reopen my eyes upon the real world view And give Melancholy another chance to overtake me anew. ---------------- Black and white life-Poem By Ginger Strivelli I dream in colored light but I cruelly wake to a black and white Life that seems so fake Alas, why is my reality in black and white While every fantasy is in color, so bright Fighting through grey hues I must live colorfully rejecting shadowy woes and endless melancholy I must visualize and conjure a vividly colorful reflection Contrasting this dull here and now black and white vision -----------------------
