ISO/DIS 9001:2000, Clause 8.5.2 Corrective Action

bulletThe organization shall take corrective action to eliminate the cause of nonconformities in order to prevent recurrence. Corrective action shall be appropriate to the impact of the problems encountered.
bulletThe documented procedure for corrective action shall define requirements for:
bullet) identifying nonconformities (including customer complaints);
bullet) determining the cause of nonconformity;
bullet) evaluating the need for actions to ensure that nonconformities do not recur;
bullet) determining and implementing the corrective action needed;
bullet) recording results of action taken;
bullet) reviewing of corrective action taken.
