Chapter Fifteen -- Life Goes On
"Come on Nick." I pushed him lightly.
He suddenly sat up and kissed me. "Gotcha!"
"You!" I threw the pillow at him. We both laughed.
After breakfast, we decided to have a walk. On the way, we passed a newstand and a particular headline caught out attention: LORI'S MANAGER JONATHAN CLAIMED THAT BACKSTREET BOY NICK CARTER STEPS IN AND WANT TO RUIN THEIR RELATIONSHIP. We ended up sitting home, reading the newspaper, then we were called by the other boys for a meeting.
"What a mess..." AJ sighed.
"How did all of these get started anyways?" Howie asked. All the guys were really worried about me. I put my head down, this "news" was just bothering me too much. I had no idea what to do, nor how to stop it.
"Okay... tell us the exact situation..." Brian said.
"Well..." Nick speaked out. "The truth is he's making this all up! I mean I am the one with Lori the whole time."
"Jonathan basically want Nick and I to break up. I thought I could trust him..." Tears ran down my face and I ran to the restroom. When I came out, Nick was standing there, he hold me in his arms and said, "I'll take care of it, don't worry..."
We walked back to the room and discussed about upcoming projects.
"Lori... remember the backstreet fanfic you showed us? The one you wrote for fun?"
"Yes... the 'Shape of My Heart' one, rite? Wassup with that?"
"Well... all of us read it and liked it a lot. The CBS seemed to be interested in doing a TV series with Backstreet Boys in it, so we decided to actually used your ideas on the fanfic." Kevin said.
"You must be kidding..." I said.
"No... we're serious." Kevin said. "We've actually give your story to CBS and they are gonna make a script based on the idea there."
"In the next couple of months..." Brian said. "We'll be in LA, recording our new album, but Nick will be busier since he's the main character in the story, he gotta spend a lot of time shooting the TV series at the same time."
"As Jonathan is not around, and he probably won't be anymore..." AJ said.
"What do you mean AJ?" I asked.
"We fired him... anyways, do you think stuff are okay for you without a manager for a short period of time?"
"Sure..." I answered. "Thanks you guys for all the help."
"I have an idea..." Brian suggested, "why don't we take the song 'I Need You Tonight' and change it into the duet between Lori and Nick?"
"That's a good idea!" Kevin said. "We can shoot a video, put clips from the tv series into it, release it as a sneak peak."
"After that, we can actually kick off a new tour, but, I kinda want to have a mix concert, we never do that before." AJ said.
"That's cool!" Nick said.
Although businesses were going well, rumors never stopped. Jonathan told the media that he got fired by the BSB because of Nick. But the good thing was, the Backstreet fans are always being so supportive. I'd moved in with Nick for almost a month already. We would be going to LA and stayed for a pretty long time, to shoot the tv series. They officially named it "Hit It Fast ~ Kiss me Soft.".
