It was morning. Brianna could feel the warmth of the sun shining on her through the windows. Rather than open her eyes she pulled the covers over her head and burrowed deeper underneath them. Sensing her movement Nick tightened his arm around her and nuzzled his nose to the back of her neck, but he himself not waking. Feeling the moistness of his breath on her skin she smiled groggily and scooted closer, wanting to be as close to him as possible.
What was last night? Was it all just a dream? No, it was too real to be merely a dream. The way he touched me and kissed me, it was like nothing I’ve ever felt before.
She allowed herself the luxury of recalling just how Nick showed her what Ecstasy can make you feel. She moaned softly remembering the feel of his fingers on her back, tracing the line of her spine from the nape of her neck to her hips, and then following that same path with tender, barely there kisses. He had sat straddled over her hips. And as he ran his hands up her sides bringing her arms up over her head he leaned down, entwining their fingers together over her head and kissed every tiny inch of skin on the back of her neck. She arched her neck slightly wanting to feel his soft lips there again. She also recalled another feeling, the pressure of his arousal against ass. Yes, she had been very much aware of that last night, even teasing him by raising her hips against him.
That’s when he had turned her over. There she had been lying on her back, her hands pinned above her head, staring up into his eyes, and right then she knew she’d do anything he wanted. He had held her hands with one of his while taking his other hand and tracing his fingers along her cheek, her lips, and down her neck. His intense gaze held her captive and unable to look away. He had let his finger follow the natural path down her neck and along the center of her chest all the way down to her belly button before bringing it back up and letting the backside of his knuckles skim the underside of first one breast then the other. Even now her nipples hardened and ached from the memory and wanting more. But that was all he did. He teased her with his touches coming close to sensitive parts but just barely missing them. He made her every nerve burn with a desire she had never felt before. Whenever she’d whimper he’d just whisper, “Trust me, baby.”
It seemed to her he caressed and teased her for hours with his touches and kisses. She had wanted; well she didn’t know exactly what she wanted, but just more. More of what he had been doing to her, more of what he wasn’t doing to her, just more period. She sighed out of confusion, contentment, frustration, maybe a little bit of them all.
“What’s the matter, Bree?” He whispered in her ear. Brianna nearly jumped out of the bed. “Shhh, jumpy this morning?” There was laughter in his voice.
Sighing again she answered, “Nothing’s wrong. I was just thinking about last night.” Reliving it more like it.
Nick turned her over on her back so they were facing each other. Even under the covers the light from the bright summer morning cast an opalescent glow through the material allowing them to see. “You okay? I mean, ya know, you okay with what we did?” Nick was playing with a stray curl searching her face for any signs that she was uncomfortable.
Biting her bottom lip Brianna just nodded her head yes.
“You sure? You don’t seem so sure.”
Drawing in a deep breath she exhaled slowly before answering. “Yes I’m sure. We didn’t really DO anything.” She gave him a small smile before closing her eyes.
“Bree? Brianna look at me. You sure something’s not wrong?”
It took all her will to reopen her eyes and look at him. Her eyelids felt as if they were practically sewn shut. “Yes I’m very sure. I’m just so tired, exhausted.” And to emphasize the point she snuggled into his chest and drifted off to sleep.
Nick was worried, though. Did he perhaps push her too far and now, in the sobering light of morning she regretted the night before. Granted they didn’t have sex. It was difficult as hell to stop from going that far, but he was determined, it wasn’t the right time, no matter how ‘right’ it felt in the moment last night. He began to think that maybe he needed to back off a little before he really screwed things up between them. More than anything he didn’t want to lose her as a friend. Something more would be nice, but not at the cost of their friendship. Maybe I’ll think about this more when I’m actually awake. Pulling Brianna even closer he too drifted back to sleep.
