I have a lot of ideas, but that is all they would be if I did not have
Cathy Knudtson to bring them to life. There are no words to say
how much I think of her, or what she means to me and my
family. One thing I do know, she was sent by God.  All I can says is,
Thank you Cathy.

Heaven's General Store

As I was walking down life's highway
Many years ago
I came upon a sign that read
"Heaven's General Store."

When I got a little closer
The doors swung open wide
And when I came to myself
I was standing inside

I saw a host of angels,
They were standing everywhere
One handing me a basket said,
"My child all's here to share."

Everything that one could wish for
Was in that general store
And what you could not carry
You could come back for more.

First I got some Patience,
Love was also in that rose.
Further down was Understanding,
You need that where ever you may go.

I got a box or two of Wisdom
And Faith, a bag or two.
Hope was there beside it,
I would need much of that too.

I took some Strength,
Some Courage to help me run the race.
My basket was getting fuller,
I picked a bunch of Grace

I also chose Salvation,
You see, the sign said "Free" --
Forgiveness also there I found,
Enough and more for me.

Then I started to the counter
To pay my shopping bill,
For I thought I had everything
To do the Master's will

As I went up the aisle
I saw Prayer and put that in,
For I knew when I stepped outside
I would run into sin.

Peace and Joy were plentiful,
The last things on the shelf.
Songs and Praise were hanging near
So I just helped myself.

Then I said to an angel,
"Now how much do I owe?"
He smiled and said,
"Just take them where ever you may go."

Again I asked "Really now,
How much do I owe?"
"My child" he said,
This bill was paid, long, long ago."

"How can this be?"
I asked again,
He simply smiled and said,
"Upon the Cross,
One day in awful pain,
Jesus paid this debt."
I thanked the angel then and said,
"These gifts I won't forget!"

This is why I'm recommending
"Heaven's General Store" -
You can go and freely shop,
And there's so much, much more!

Angels

High in the heavens
A loud rush of wings,
As angels assemble
Before their Great King

He stands tall before them
And holds out His hand,
"Go, do My bidding
Throughout all the land."

"Protect all My people,
Defend right from wrong.
In tall pine trees whistle
My praise all day long."

"The forces of evil
Defeat with My might-
And kiss every child
On the forehead tonight."

So quickly they scatter,
These creatures of light,
To do heaven's bidding
And bring earth delight.

My Bouquet of Flowers

When looking at my lovely bouquet
of friendship's faces.
Picked from so many,
wonderful and different places.

It suddenly came bursting,
with such delight.
How each one made up,
a most beautiful sight.

Though it has taken my life-time,
to add each one.
I know that still yet,
my task is not done.

For I shall continue to gather,
along life's pathway.
More radiant faces,
that I shall display.

But dear FRIEND!

This I want you to know.
It will be your flower,
the first that I show.

Thanks for all the memories,
both of laughter and tears.
They will always be with me,
throughout the coming years.

A True Angel

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born.  The child asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"  God replied, "Among the many angels, I chose one.  Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."

The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."  God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you everyday.  And you will feel you angel's love and be very happy."

Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"  God said, Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak."

"And what am I doing to do when I want to talk to you?"  God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray."

"I've heard that on Earth there are bad men.  Who will protect me?"  God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life."

"But I will always be said because I will not see you anymore."  God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about me and will teach you the way to come back to me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."  "Her name is not important.  You will simply call her "Mom".

Remember Me....

As the wind stirs the leaves...
Remember Me.
As the evening sunset cast its rosy glow...
Remember Me.
As you smell the earth after a fresh, spring rain...
Remember Me.
As you hear the sound of a child's laughter...
Remember Me.
As the warm summer sunshine caresses your skin...
Remember Me.
As the first winter snow flake falls to the ground...
Remember Me.
As the smell of spring flowers tantalize your senses...
Remember Me.
As you are wakened in the morning by the song of a bird...
Remember Me.
As the days gently east, one into another...
Remember Me.
As you greet a smile on a friendly face...
Remember Me.
As you walk through life...
Remember Me For I shall
Remember You.

When Somebody Dies

When somebody dies, a cloud turns into and angel,
and flies up to tell God
to put another flower on a pillow.
A bird gives the message back to the world,
and sings a silent prayer,
that makes the rain cry.
People disappear, but they never
really go away,
The spirits up there put the sun to bed,
wake up grass, and spin the
earth in dizzy circles.
Sometimes you can see them
dancing in a cloud during the day-time,
when they're supposed to be sleeping.
They paint the rainbows and also the
sunsets and makes waves splash and
tug at the tide.
They toss shooting stars and listen
to wishes.
And when they sing wind-songs, they whisper to us,
don't miss me too much.
The view is nice and I'm doing just fine.

This photo is very special, it was made
after Tammy (Mr. William's Mother)
married Gene Bullis on April 29, 2001.
I had Mr. William added to the photo
by a friend of mine.  I know Mr. William
was not there in body, but I know he
was there.

Mr. William - Christmas 1995

If Tomorrow Never Comes..

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in tighter
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute or two
to stop and say love you,
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
well I'm sure you'll have so many more
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything right.

There will always be another day
to say our, "I love you's,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our, "Anything I can do's?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?

The cowboy outfit Mr. William is
wearing belonged to his Dad
when he was a boy, he had put it
away to save for his son one day.

Mr. William as I picture him today.  In
Heaven sitting in the shade of the
evergreen tree.  No one knows how
much I miss him.

Mr. William was forever calling me on
phone.  "Papaw, I want to come to
your house."  When he called he told
Nanny, "Nanny, I want to talk to my
Papaw". She would ask how he was,
how Mommy was, how Mary was,
but he got tired of all the asking him
things other than what he wanted.
He told Nanny, "Nanny, what I say
the first time is what I mean, I want
to talk to my Papaw!!"
In this photo he was 14 months
old pretending to talk to me on the
phone.

This poem I found, I changed some of
the words around to make it sound
like it came from Mr. William in Heaven.
Once he had made the comment to me
that Jesus was his special friend.  When
I read the poem it just popped back
into my mind.  Click on the image to
