A word from the Principal
Notre Dame is a
Catholic Institution managed by the Sisters of Notre Dame.
Established in Patna in 1960, the school strives to prepare her
students to be responsible, mature and integrated personalities.
By developing in them an awareness of God's goodness, love and
concern, they find meaning
in life and hope for the future. From the beginning. the school
aspired to develop every facet of the students' personality be it
educational, social, cultural, sathetic or religious. The
emphasis is always on the all-round development of the child. The
wide range of extra curricular activities in the school gives
everyone a fair chance of developing her personality to the
utmost. Students are kept constantly involved right from spelling
contests to painting contests, Elocutions to Debates and
Symposiums, One Act Plays to Dramas and MusicalsTalent Nights to
Social Service to enable everyone to shine in one field or the
other. This gives Notre Damians tremendous opportunities to come
out of their little shells and spread the undiminishing fragrance
of it to every little corner of the earth.
Of Course academic excellence is never ignored. Many of our students have stood through every test of life and emerged as pure gold. Living in a highly competitive world, they are given a quality education that prepares them for life to lead a meaningful professional life.
Notre
Dame Academy is not only a towering majestic and elegant building
where teachers impart true knowledge to students, but it is a
family where the devotion, commitment, efforts, creativity and
initiative of the Sisters and Teachers work together to mould the
students into better persons with better character, better
demeanour and to become WHOLESOME.
True to its motto "LEAD ME FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT" may Notre Dame Academy continue to carry out her mission with the blessings of the Almighty and may Notre Damians strive to build up a world of peace, justice and freedom.
