I’m late this month, but the newsletter should still be reaching you before the meeting. We just wrapped up another Spring Englishtown, with Don doing the chef’s duties once more. Roy passed on attending Friday in the pouring rain (wimp!), thought he was going racing on Saturday (cancelled by the track), but showed up on Sunday for a beautiful day. I was there all 3 days and Jim Lynch showed up Saturday and Sunday. Phil & Mary Ann came by on Saturday. Got tires for my trailer and assorted other goodies...
The March tech session was a success, although only 4 members showed up. Cliff, Roy, Paul, and myself all learned a few lessons. Old parts were removed, new parts were installed and we all learned that the shop manual says the lower ball joints are a “loose fit”. Since then I have ordered new tie rod sleeves and painted all the suspension parts. Should be ready to "transplant" by the next session, along with an alternate powertrain. Hopefully the Stinger will be roadworthy by May and ready to go to Summit Point in July. Next session scheduled for April 27th....
Also went to the NJACE Garage Sale last week along with Bill, Frank, Don, Tim, & Jim & Chris Mastrian. Bill sold lots of used parts, I sold lots of new parts, & Jim bought another car. Tim had a sample of the new Corvair 1/18 scale diecast car. The DelVal Vairs show in Fallsington, PA is scheduled for May 3 (see the flyer in this newsletter).
The next general meeting is April 16th at the Chapter House.
