First order of business this month is DUES! Got a list from Craig the other day and found that there are only 11 paid members. If you name is highlighted in pink on your address label, your dues are due. Contact Craig at any meeting or mail to the club P.O. box.
The April tech session was held with only Perry, Phil (with his new Corsa coupe), and myself. We took apart a spare set of steering linkage that Perry had with the results that he ended up with another “box” for his coupe and Phil ended up with the drag link for his Corsa. My garbage can ended up with the rest. My front suspension is now assembled, except for a few parts that need to be modified (scoops for the backing plates to get cooling air into the brakes and reinforcement for the drag link). Got a set of Minilite “look-a-likes” for the Stinger- already mounted the race rubber and installed on the car. Still lots to be done before Summit Point.....
There will be no tech session this month. I’m planning a garage sale (non-Corvair) to get rid of the boxes of “stuff” from Joan, my mom, and father-in-law that weekend. Tech sessions will resume on June 29th.
The Pocono meeting went well, with stuffing envelopes and some new ideas regarding publicity and finances. Registrations are starting to roll in and we’re planning on another sellout year. The picture for the NECC event at Pocono next week is not as rosy, but Roy & I will be there to assist in whatever way possible.
Check out the calendar for many new events that were added. Thanks to Phil & Mary Ann for supplying a list of shows, cruises, etc. Spring is here!! Let’s get them out on the road (another reason for our tech sessions...).
The next general meeting is May 14th at the Chapter House.
