Who Won ?

Best Spin Award
The event was sold out for the second consecutive year with 15 people left waiting on a list for any possible last minute openings due to cancellations.
The tech inspection task was performed mainly by Charlie Doerge & Roy Buckridge. Bill Doerge and myself tried to lend a hand where we could but we still ran a little beyond our scheduled time.
Judy Doerge, Frank Schmitt, Cliff Briggs, and Craig & Maria Griffin, took care of getting the coffee on, donuts out, registration, hospitality, information, and other odds and ends. Bill & Charlie's sister Cookie Jamieson and her friend Dominic took care of handing out the free t-shirts supplied to all of the early registered entrants and sold t-shirts and sweat shirts to other participants.
My friend Andy Brice, placed the trailer that we had used to tow my car to the track near the base of the tower and set up two courses of scaffolding from which we conducted our track control.
Warren and Bill took care of getting the radios, flags, and coolers with ice and bottled water out to the corners and prepared the track for the firstgroup.
Chip Wall made it out to the track on his motorcycle in late morning and helped around the tower throughout the afternoon.
Everything went very smoothly throughout the whole event that we kept questioning ourselves as to whether we were forgetting something.
There have been 4-6 of us Bayshore members that have gotten together each month since February to better organize and improve this event and I think we've done a great job!
There will always be room for improvement and we are already taking action on some issues that both we and the participants have suggested.
I'd like to thank my wife Barbara for doing another fantastic job with handling our registration, phone conversations and public relations, database preparation, and for the many custom reports that she printed for each aspect of our operation throughout the day. Barbara is not a big fanatic over Corvairs but fortunately she's a great team member!
Once again we had plenty of Mazda Miata's entered from the DelVal Miata Club, and we thank them for their support of our event again.
