Attention all 98 Degrees Firm visitors. We here at The Firm are going to be giving away a secret password or secret address where you can see pictures taken by us. These were never shown to anyone on the internet. Alot of them were taken at concerts, meet and greets, when we were one on one with them, private events, MTV, Hotels, you name it, we got it. After seeing and meeting the guys over 37 times, there are so many of you out there who are curious as to what pictures we have taken. The new single for 98 Degrees is called "Why (Are We Still Friends)" . A couple of radio stations are playing this song around the states and the only way for us to hear it is to keep listening to the radio. The release date to ALL radio stations is March 12th 2002. On February the 10th on a beautiful yacht in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Hawaii my life changed in the most incredible way. Nick Lachey asked me to marry him in a very romantic way and I said yeeeeeeeeeeeessssss!!! Nick and I have been back together since September 11th but we did not want to make a big deal about it so we kept it quiet. After 9-11, I knew that I never ever wanted to be away from Nick ever for the rest of my life. He had been patiently waiting for me to grow up a little (which I needed). And I did! Now my life feels so perfect. We have not stopped smiling since that Saturday the 10th. Actually it all feels so surreal and we feel so complete. I wanted you guys to be the first to know. They are putting out a press release about the engagement and I thought it would be special if you all knew a few hours before. Nick and I want to thank you for all your love and support you have expressed towards the two of us. It is such an encouragement to know all of you are behind us. I have dreamt of this moment my entire life and now my prince charming has come. I am so blessed!!! Please keep us in your prayers and thoughts!!!! I love you guys and I hope you had a happy Valentine's day...I did!

For those of you who don't already know, you can now go to the nearest Sam Goody and PRE-reserve the new 98 Degrees album which is being released on May 7th. It is called " The Collections" and will feature one new track by the guys. You can put down a $2.00 deposit to reserve it or pay for it in full. The reservation number for this is 12000042. Off Topic: If you have not yet been to a Craig David concert yet, you have to go. I went to the one in NYC tonight and it was awesome. I've never seen anyone put on a good show with alot of energy and can sing LIVE. Like 98 Degrees of course. My sister Tina and myself met Craig the night before and he was very nice. 98 Degrees Fans are organizing an "International 98 Degrees Day" on February 8th. Fans got together and decided that February 8th will be 98 Degrees day. There are so many things you could do. If you live in NYC, you could head over to TRL and hold signs, call into as many radio stations as possible and request ANY 98 Degrees songs, listen to 98 Degrees all day long, and so much more! You could also write to their fan club and tell 98 Degrees how much you love them or whatever it is that your heart feels.
It's confirmed by Universal Records - 98 Degrees' greatest hits album will be out on May 7th 2002. It will be called "The Collection" and will feature one brand new track by the guys.

As you may be aware, 98 Degrees are taking an extended break. They have no immediate plans to record or tour. With their future unclear at this point, we just have to wait and see what happens next. What it all comes down to is that we @ The98DegreesFirm feel that the only reason why they are taking a break is because of the drop in sales of pop music and that the music market is changing. So for them to take a little time off is very smart so then they would know what kind of album to do next.

There is a song writing contest going on for USA WEEKEND-John Lennon Songwriting Contest for Teens.This spring, a panel of music-celebrity judges -- Mary J. Blige, Wyclef Jean,Amy Grant and Nick Lachey of 98 Degrees -- will choose two prize-winning song lyrics, one in the category "General," the other "Patriotic." You must be at least 13 years of age and in grade 7 - 12. All entries must be received no later than February 15 2002. Just follow the link to learn more about this.

There are rumours going around about a 98 Degrees greatest hits album coming out on February 26th. I highly doubt that this is true since no music stores seem to know about this, but if you call FYE, a music store in Paramus, NJ, they seem to have some kind of info about it. What a year this has been. Don¡¯t worry - we can see the finish line from here. Let¡¯s hope that 2002 brings a double dose of happiness and prosperity back, not only to this industry, but to our personal lives as well. This is not to say that 2001 was a complete disaster. As usual, we were able to mine some weird and funny stuff from the dregs (see p. 11). Looking ahead to 2002 we see some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel, as the following labels give us an advance preview of what promises to be an exciting first quarter. In 2002 look for new CDs from Nelly, Brian McKnight, a solo effort from Nick Lachey of 98*, and The Scorpion King soundtrack featuring WWF Superstar The Rock.
