Opened
and operated a small cafe (The Center City Cafe)
on campus, used for training of students.
Coordinated a Career Training Program for the
Culinary Arts Field. Taught classes on Food
Preparation, Food Safety, Customer Service,
Business Math, and Baking.
The Center City Cafe was open two days a week and
served a small breakfast and lunch menu. I
purchased equipment to start up the cafe, and did
the purchasing to keep the cafe stocked. I
trained and supervised the five students who at
any time would be working in the cafe. Controlled
cash flow and bills. Designed and priced the
menu.
Classes were taught on a 15 week basis, basic
food preparation techniques and business skills
were taught.
Leaving because I was paid through a grant the
college recieved, and the grant money was
exhausted. |
