2017-2018 TÜRKİYE KUPASI
FORMAT
The format of the Turkish Cup is changing this year. The Group Stage is cancelled and the cup will be played in knockout elimination style from start to finish.
There will be six rounds and then Quarter Finals, Semi Finals, and the Final.
The first four rounds and the Final will be played as one leg and the others two legged.
The seeding will be used starting from the third round and will end after the Quarter Finals.
Round 1
33 Bölgesel Amatör Lig (BAL) clubs and 9 clubs which got promoted from BAL to 3. Lig last year play this round.
29 of BAL clubs are from the provinces without a professional club in the leagues. If a BAL club from these provinces decide not to play, it will be replaced by a local amateur club from that province.
Regional grouping will be used for the draw.
One-match knock-out elimination
21 clubs will proceed to Round 2.
Round 2
The remaining 45 3. Lig clubs join the cup - 9 clubs had started already at Round 1.

33 clubs will proceed to Round 3.
Round 3
36 2. Lig clubs and 18 1. Lig clubs of this year and 5 Süper Lig clubs (14th and 15th last year and three newcomers) will join the cup.

Seeding will start and 46 clubs are seeded.
46 clubs will proceed to Round 4.
Round 4
8 Süper Lig clubs (5th through 13th last year not including the Turkish Cup winner) join the cup.
One-match knock-out elimination
27 clubs will be seeded.
27 clubs will proceed to Round 5.
Round 5
5 Süper Lig clubs (Top four clubs last year and the Turkish Cup winner) join the cup.
Double legged elimination
16 clubs will be seeded.
16 clubs will proceed to Round 6.
Round 6
Double legged elimination
8 clubs will be seeded.
8 clubs will proceed to Quarter Finals.
Quarter Finals
Double legged elimination
4 clubs will be seeded.
4 clubs will proceed to Semi Finals.
Semi Finals
Double legged elimination
No seeding will be used.
2 clubs will proceed to Final
Final
Final will be played as a one match final at a neutral venue.
Ties at one-legged match
1 - 30 min of extra time is played.
2 - Penalty kick shoot-out decides the winner.
Tie-break for double legged matches
1 - Head-to-head wins.
2 - Head-to-head goals scored for
3 - Head-to-head goals scored for at away matches
4 - 30 minutes of extra time of play
5 - Penalty kick shoot-out decides the winner.
