2004-2005 Turkish Cup
|
The Format
|
The clubs participating at several phases of the Turkish Cup are decided by the final standings of the last year's league games.
The clubs of Turkish 1st Super League and Turkish 2nd League (Category A) qualify to the cup automatically.
The top four clubs of the 2nd League (Category B) also qualify, but none of the Turkish 3rd League clubs.
The Turkish Cup is played in a one-game knockout system. The games are played at the first club's venue. If a game ends in a tie, then extra 30 minutes will pe played. If the tie is still not broken after the extra time, then the penalty shoot-out will decide the winner.
