Geographical Draw - April 4th, 2006

The nations are distributed to three geographical groups: Southern European Countries - Central and Eastern European Countries - Northern and Western European Countries.
Then the seeded nations are decided according to 2004-2005 UEFA Country rankings. The seeding rankings are shown by the nation's name below. In a pairing the nations with lower seeding ranking is seeded.
Portugal decided not to play, Liechtenstein and San Marino not admitted.

The nations joining this round would be seeded in principle. However, because of the uneven distribution of the nations according to the geographical distribution, one nation couldn't be seeded in Southern and Central groups, one pairing played without any seed in Northern group.
