Mike "Poot" Puterbaugh, the quiet one, mainly plays drums for The Gravity. With over eight years of experience behind the kit, his style is laid-back and subtle, yet interesting. Mike has also been composing for three years, citing as his major influences Frank Zappa, John Lennon, Metallica, and the music from Nintendo games. His most recognized contributions in The Gravity to date are writing the music to "Back Again," and playing the DING! which punctuates the choruses to "C.J." During the school year, Mike studies Music Theory/Composition and Computer Science as an undergraduate at Cornell University.
