Highlights:
January 2000 - Two of Gudrun's scuptures, Bylgja and Sjofn, took
home special award and third place award from the Lafayette Art
Association's National Juried Exhibit in Lafayette, Louisiana.
October 2000 - Gudrun represented her country along with 12 other
Icelandic artists in "Icelandic Art 2000: Modern Treasures"
a very well received group exhibition at the International Monetary
Fund's gallery in Washington, DC.
November 2000 - Gudrun's solo exhibition, held at the Kopavogur
Art Museum, Gerdarsafn, was not only well received by the press,
but was also one of the best attended ceramic art exhibitions
ever held in Iceland.
June 2001 - Gudrun's ceramic sculpture, received an award at
the opening of the Chautauqua Center for the Visual Arts juried
exhibition in Chautauqua, New York. |
