Bradford Anderson Event - July 26, 2008

Well, we had some time to kill before Bradford's event, so my friend and I went to Dave & Busters to play some games. I won 500 tickets from the Wheel of Fortune game! I never EVER won that many tickets before in my life. I joked to my friend and was like "too bad this isn't money". Maybe it was because it was my birthday that I got lucky that day. I ended up with 747 tickets/points, and I probably would have had about 1000 if D&B wasn't closing for a private party. Yep, unfortunately, they were closing at 3:30pm but were supposed to reopen later. Still, though, I got a stuffed animal, a coffee mug, and a basketball keychain out of it and my friend had won tickets too; so he got a stuffed animal (which he gave to me) and a football keychain.

We decided to also, since we still had a little time before we had to head back to the Marriot East Side, check out where the Marriot Marquis was since we were both going to the "One Life to Live" luncheon. I knew it was in Times Square but I had forgotten the street. Plus, my friend wanted a hot chocolate from Starbucks. I asked the person at the counter where it was and she told us.

I wanted to see where Build-a-Bear was as well just to check it out as it is the biggest Build-a-Bear in the world. Well, as we looked at the time, we realized that there wouldn't be time so we started heading back. Lo and behold, the funniest thing happened, while we were walking back to the Marriot, we pass by, you guessed it, Build-a-Bear! However, there was no time to go inside.

We got to the Marriot with about half an hour to spare before we were to sign in, so we sat down in the lobby for a few minutes. We were a bit tired from all that walking, so we just chilled out for awhile until it was time to go in to see Bradford!

Well, this crowd had a lot of questions for Bradford when he finally came up onstage. There were questions about Spenelli and Maxie (he said he is glad with what the writers are doing with them), how he likes working with Maurice Bernard (which he answered that he loved working with him), why he wasn't on Nightshift this year (which he answered that the storyline basically didn't call for Spenelli to be there), how he likes working with Steve Burton (in which he responded that he absolutely loves working with him and told a funny story about a time Steve slept over his house), someone asked him if he ever gets tired of barbarque potato chips and orange soda because his character likes those and then they gave him a bag of potato chips and soda. That was too funny....LOL! Someone else had told him about Rick doing an impression of him earlier. Bradford said that he heard about that, and when someone asked him if he can do a Rick impression, he was like "Rick the person? Or Ric the character? If it's Rick the person isn't me talking a lot enough?" LOL! He said he couldn't do a Ric the character impression.

Debby announced that someone was celebrating a birthday. I was getting nervous and thought she was going to say it was me, but luckily it was someone else who happened to have the same birthday as me, and Bradford led the audience in singing "Happy Birthday" to her. I am very shy about my birthday and I wouldn't have felt comfortable at that point with all that attention on me, so I waited until he came around to our table to tell him.

I asked Bradford the same question I asked Rick earlier. I asked him if he always wanted to be an actor and he told me no. He said he wanted to be a baseball player, a basketball player, and other kinds of sports until he got into high school. That's when, he said, he decided to become an actor and went to NYU (New York University). When I gave him a picture to sign, he asked my name, and I told him. His reaction was funny, he was like "help me?" I started laughing and said, "I get that a lot" and I spelled it for him. Then he realized that it was phonetically spelled....LOL! I told him that it was my birthday too and he led the whole table singing "Happy Birthday" to me. Debby was behind me and she asked me why I didn't say anything before, and I said it was because I'm shy about it. I went on to tell her a story about when I was in voice class (I'm a singer) during the Summer Arts Institute at Rutgers University. I told no one when my birthday was, but somehow someone found out and the whole class sung "Happy Birthday" to me. I had no idea how they found out because I certainly did not tell them. It was kind of embarrasing actually....LOL!

I also told Bradford that I enjoyed the "Love Affair" CD that he did. I told him that I think everyone did a great job on that. He said that he thought it was well produced. I also told him that I think his character brings great comedy to the show, as GH does need it from time to time, he said "thank you, I hope this means they will keep me on."

Bradford Anderson is such a cool person to be with. I am glad I got this opportunity to meet him as I couldn't last year when he did his first event. I am going to say the same thing that I said in my Rick Hearst review, thank you Bradford Anderson for making my birthday special and thank you for singing to me....LMAO!

Someone gave Bradford a sneaker to sign at our table. I thought that was funny, so I had to take a picture of it....LOL!
