White Flight

For all those who don't know, I'm the guy whom Morok is speaking of in his rant, so I decided to rant back, and as you'll probably become accustom to, I love to rant.

The DiPaulo out-tro and why I don't laugh at jokes that make fun of black people, as opposed to jokes about white people. Most people based on the premonition that since I’m "dating a black girl" will cite that that is the very reason why I didn't find the attempt at humor funny. The fact that it was so rampant with stereotypes wasn't even the part that most irritated me about this piece, I could definitely tell it was a comedic attempt, but more along the lines of yet another piece of material to be collected amongst the hundreds produced by "the media" to stereotype and further the portrayal of the stereotypical black man. Now notice that I'm not dating a black man, I’m going out with a black female, so as far as that line of thinking goes it should stop right about there. The portrayal of black men in society has caused mass FEAR of the black man. How many times do people cross streets, move out of neighborhoods, or even send their children to "private" read: segregated schools? Why? Because of ignorance of other cultures, and a large portion of what people know about other cultures sadly comes from television and movies. Black men have been falsely portrayed as stupid, retarded, less than scum, chicken-eating, good for nothing human beings, who will kill you and rape your white daughter, crack-heads, the list is fucking endless! When I see this bullshit continued in the form of a joke, I'm so sorry I don't laugh when a black man is getting paid by white people to turn the tides on white people, to portray them as ridiculously as black men have been portrayed throughout history. If that to you seems hypocritical, read this again to see where I’m coming from, and if you still think it's hypocritical see the Spike Lee movie: Bamboozled - or see the Robert Townsend movie: Hollywood Shuffle, and if you STILL think I’m hypocritical, guess what... I’m white.

(not to say being white is hypocritical, if you didn't get the joke email me I’ll break it down for you)
