So I’m sitting in Sociology class yet again and the Professor is using the screen to test relations between different topics. For, example, the relationship between Gathering Societies of old and the level of Social Stratification (proving that the more they gathered, the less stratification there was). Finally, she goes to make a point that if there is more surplus there won’t be more stratification, as a sociological theory we were learning about stated.
She says that if the theory were true, the rich would have more money with a higher level of stratification. There was no correlation between the two subjects. Then, she take the level of Democracy and Free Will in the world to how much money the wealthiest 10% of countries own. Democracy was on a 1-7 scale basis, with the US being a 7 and countries like China being a 1 or 2.
Now, how much of the United State’s currency do you think the top wealthiest people in America (around 10% of American society, that’s a lot of people…) own? 90%, 85%, 60%? Nope. According to the information (regularly updated by the American Sociological Association) the wealthiest 10% of Americans own between 20.6% and 20.9% of American property and capitol. Less than 30% of the US!? Who’d of thought that.
Another interesting fact: China (with a Democracy rating of 1) had their wealthiest 10% owning nearly 85% of the land and capitol.

Now, regardless of all the asshole conspiracy theorists in this country, we do have one of the most democratic countries in the world. If you can preach hate on TV and go and protest everything anti-government without having secret police running into your house and kidnapping you, that proves our freedom. This research information shows one thing that has been a misconception for a long time:

That’s right. The richer rich people get, the more money YOU will get. Isn’t that the shit? Doesn’t that mean that the wealthiest getting their taxes shot up will be bad in the long run? So, when people get on the wealthy, it just proves that their inner motive is just that they want their money! Funny, eh?
This also supports the idea that Socialism and Communism is utter bullshit. The more democratic, capitolistic and rich the country gets, the more EVERYONE has. Hell, our homeless live better than most of the world’s Less Industrialized countries middle-class citizens live. That’s ridiculously awesome… for us!
