EKG Diagnostic Criteria

First Degree Heart Block

  • There must be P waves
  • There must be QRS complexes
  • The P waves must have a morphology and an axis usual for the subject
  • The QRS complex must have a morphology and an axis usual for the subject
  • there must be one P wave to each QRS
  • The P-R interval must be CONSTANT
  • The P-R interval must be prolonged >.20 sec
