EKG Diagnostic Criteria

Hyperkalemia effect:

  • Increased amplitude and Peaking of T waves (clue is comparing to QRS amplitude)
  • Prolongation of PR (in extremes leading to AV block)
  • Prolongation of QRS
  • Flattening of P waves
  • Can lead to Ventricular Fibrillation
