I-976 is a short freeway spur connecting the turnpike in Downingtown with fictional I-72 (existing US-30) in Exton. Coupled with fictional I-72 and I-87, its usefulness is for motorists from the PA turnpike to get to Atlantic City and other Jersey shore resorts, or Rehobeth or other Delaware shore resorts, without having to deal with I-476 through PA or I-76 through Philadelphia.
