May, 2002 Dear Friend of Soccer, On behalf of all the kids playing in the Watchung Hills Soccer Association, I would like to invite you to sponsor a team in the upcoming Season. This past year we had about 1,400 kids playing in the program. We fielded 20 competitive travel teams along with about 70 in-town fall and 40 spring recreational teams. In the winter indoor soccer program we had 68 teams. Currently, the only fundraising we do as an organization is through team sponsorships (no candy or wrapping paper type sales) so your support is very important to us. Sponsorships help us keep fees down for all our programs. It enables us to provide professional soccer training for the kids in the Fall and Spring, as well as purchase additional equipment and improve facilities. It also enables us to provide scholarships and equipment to kids who need financial support in order to play. As usual, we are very short of sponsors for our upcoming Spring recreational soccer program. The cost of the sponsorship is only $225. per season (Fall, Indoor & Spring are considered separate seasons). If you are interested in becoming a GOLD SPONSOR the costs for the 3 season sponsorship for next year is only $600. A sponsorship allows you to put your business name or an acceptable team name on in-town recreational team shirts. All sponsors will receive: · a thank you plaque to hang in your business · a team T-shirt with your business name on it. · a listing on our website, www.WHSA.org (with a link, if you have one) If you know anyone who is willing to sponsor a team or have any questions about sponsorships, please feel free to contact me.
