June 19, 1968 - September 1, 1990

Born in Des Moines, Iowa, the baby brother to three sisters. Andy graduated from high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

There was in Andy an unmistakeable core of goodness, kindness, care and love. There was that feeling one had in being around him --at almost every stage of his growth--that he was comfortable with himself and thus, comfortable with others. In his modest, often shy(?) and always humorous manner, Andrew was a presence, someone who made a difference.

Andy was halfway through his term as president of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. The fraternity and his brothers were very important to him. He was not only concerned about what he could contribute today but what his contributions would mean to future members. His family set up the Andrew Gustaveson Memorial Scholarship Fund and awarded scholarships to his fraternity brothers for five years after his death. The balance of the fund was used to establish a memorial library at the fraternity house.

Even in death, Andy was able to make a difference. He was an organ donor!
