Ms. Roger and Her Students

Introduction: I am Ms. Rogers, Senora Rogers. I am the gifted teacher at WMH. My commitment is to support WMH's administrative policies and to teach and facilitate a gifted curriculum grades 9th through 12th. I thank parent/guardians and the administration for giving me the opportunity to teach such gifted and talented students.

This past summer I was a student in an UNM program called Conexciones. I lived 6 weeks with a Mexican family in Morelia, Michoacan, and studied with other students at Instituto de Suchipilli. We traveled to indigenous areas, which was part of our field experience and studied the language intensely. One of the most interesting part of my experience was that I was in Mexico during their presidential election.

I am in a Bilingual/Gifted Special Education masters program. My motto is Life Long Learning and I want to share my educational experiences and knowledge with my students. In my classes, I do make references to both Spanish and English as well as make reference to other languages that students are studying and/or speak. Many students are taking Spanish as an elective and some students are bilingual. Is will support the diversity of the classroom.

Parents and family members are welcome in our classroom RY-6 at anytime. Communication is very important to me. Please feel free to call me. The best times to reach me are between 8:30am to 9:30, 1:30pm to 2:30pm at 831-6993 ext.163. You can also e-mail me at anytime. Together we can make a difference.
