We need to take the time to get to know ourselves - to find out what makes us tick. To know what makes us happy, what triggers sadness, what fulfills us. We need to look in all the nooks and crannies, all the corners, become familiar with all of the shadows, and invite them all to become part of the whole. No part need stay hidden, no part need stay uncelebrated. We are who we are because of all of our parts - not because of some of them. The destructive, negative parts of ourselves serve just as much of a purpose as the loving, positive, integrated ones. They need to find their place, they need recognition and they need healing. Recognize that when you are responding to something or someone that all of the feelings are yours. You have chosen them for a purpose. Take the time to find out what that purpose is. When this happens, ask yourself when it has happened before - when have you felt like this, and why. When you understand the why, you can heal that feeling and integrate it into your whole self. You empower yourself when you take responsibility for all parts of yourself. What we experience in this life is karma from a past life. When we make the choice to look at all of our responses, we are able to work out our karma and create a more positive karma. We can also see into the past (into our past lives) and understand what we have agreed to work on in this lifetime. This is the *why* of our current relationships. Our relationship with others mirrors our relationship with ourselves. To find the one relationship that will transcend all others, our lasting soul mate, or even our twin flame, we need to have a totally accepting, totally loving relationship with ourselves. We also need to be open and accepting of the lessons brought to us. We may find someone that we know instinctly is a soul mate - a karmic type relationship. We need to recognize that these relationships fall into two extremes - those that are supportive in this lifetime, and those that are challanging - where we are inexplicably drawn to someone that causes us great hurt. The latter relationships are here to help us identify false belief systems and replace them with healing energy. Become the person that you wish to attract to you. Show unconditional love for others, and recognize it when it comes from others. Honor the support and love that exists in your current life. Take responsibility for your own emotions, not allowing your personal fears to overwhelm you. In partnership with your higher self, you can move mountains!
