We can do this in so many different ways. We can drop off a home cooked meal, or fresh baked bread, or an unexpected batch of cookies. We can take someone out to dinner or a movie. We can invite them over for coffee or tea and lend a sympathetic ear to someone going through a rough time. One of my favorite things to do is to send e-cards - those nifty, free cards that abound on the internet. I send them to brighten a persons day, to send accolaides or sympathy, and to honor my friends, family or business associates for simply being who they are. Going through any search engine and typing in the words "e-cards", or "free e-cards" will bring up a wonderful array of sites. If you want a specific type of card, ask for that (i.e. if you want to send a free Thanksgiving card, type "free Thanksgiving e-card" in the search engine). As far as search engines themselves, we all have our favorites. I recommend Google as a good place to start. If you want a list to start from, try visiting one or more of the sites below: Ask Alana This is a very gentle card site, with categories to chose from that include Fellow Friends of Nature, Flora and Fauna, The Magic of Kauai, Angels and Goddesses and more ... and they have great music that goes with the cards! Dreams Alive Inspirational cards. Oh My Goodness.com Humerous greeting cards. Thanksgiving Greeting Cards Beautiful cards with the option to add a poem or recipe. Hallmark E-cards e-cards, gifts and flowers. Ashlynn's Grove Pagan greeting cards. Celtic Greeting CardsCeltic cards, art and desktop themes. Native American Greeting Cards Greeting cards with poems and music. Om Place Spiritual greeting cards.
