Flying Eagle Ranch - Sacred Spiral Encampment August 2002 Dancing The Vision ~ Here And Now The Flying Eagle Ranch, Blachly, Oregon, will be the home this August (2002) of the Sacred Spiral Encampment. The ranch itself consists of 20 acres of land near Triangle Lake. The whole area is a natural setting of flowing water, hills and mountains - the ideal setting for the prayers quests and journey's that are being offered. There is a large meadow that leads to an area amongst beautiful oak trees that will be available for camping. There is no fee for attending these ceremonies. The stewards of the land are offering the use of the land to the community as part of their committment to create sacred space that supports their vision, the vision of the participants and of our Elders and Ancestors. The sponsors of these ceremonies are honoring the knowledge, wisdom and opportunities that have come to them for thier personal growth, and are offering to share this as a give-away. The focus of this encampment is on creating sacred personal space and renewing personal connection with Mother Earth through development of personal medicine and skills. Participants will work together in the construction of a purification lodge, take part in drumming circles, vision and prayer quests, moon lodge, and fire ceremony, amongst other things. The intent is to connect with each others hearts, and act to nurture and energize each other. This is a time to open to your own creativity, come home to "who" you are and create balance and harmony in your life. Anyone who makes the choice to participate must bring everything that they need with them - food, shelter, toiletry articles etc. (There will be port a potties available.) While the sponsors realize that many people will not be able to committ for the entire time period, they do ask that a personal committment of intention be made. The opening ceremony will be on the mornign of Tuesday, August 13th, with a full moon ceremony on the evening of August 22nd, prior to departure on August 23rd.
