And so begins the introduction to The Spiritual Sanctuary, a wonderful place to begin our new year. This site is, most literally, a sanctuary. I am very impressed with the presentations here, and believe that you will be too. One of the first impressions that one gets on any site is to the site visuals - the load time (OK - that is not "exactly" a visual!), the graphics and t he presentation of the text. The graphics here are used sparingly, and to good effect. What is more calming than the beautiful red roses that are placed ti the left of the introductory paragraph - they certainly hooked me! My second impression was the text itself - well written, highly readable, and presented in small "bites" that allow one breathing space. Excellent use is made of tables to separate what the site offers - and it offers a lot! A wonderful place to visit is in actuality not one place - but three! These are the meditation rooms. In the SpiritualGuidanceTarot.com Free Guided Meditations Lobby you have your choice of Blue SerenitySpiraling Galaxy, which is an audio meditation with a spiraling galaxy as a visual, and the Guided Relaxation Meditation, which is a guided meditation for breathing.relaxation done to the sound of ocean waves. As a Reiki healer myself, I was pleased to see the Prayers & Healing Request List page. This is literally a form where anyone can request a prayer for anyone or anything. Site visiters are encouraged to join in and pray for those prayer requests that are listed on the site. Inspiration and Motivation carries a selection of "words of wisdom" in varying forms to help share what others have learned along their paths. Site visitors are invited to share their own stories/poems/words of wisdom. Another very gentle feature of this site is the prayer compilation section. Here are listed prayers for peace from various faiths. It makes you feel better, and stronger, in just taking the time to read through them. There are two e-zines connected with the Spiritual Sanctuary - one with a daily Tarot reading, and one with a daily "power word", used for journaling purposes. I receive both of them, and find them instructive as well as healing. There is a discussion group (based in Yahoo Groups) for discussion and development of psychic awareness, which can be accessed through the site. What a wonderful way to become comfortable with personal growth! There is a whole section of articles on Spirit and personal growth, as well as a nice section on personal growth and spiritual resources. I highly reccommend The Spiritual Sanctuary as an enlightening place to visit, and a great place to start your New Year.
