Cyndi Dale is the author of "New Chakra Healing", "Advanced Chakra Healing", and "Attracting Prosperity Through the Chakras". She is also president of Life Systems Services, a company that provides intuitive-based consulting and energy healing to individuals and corporations. Never having had the opportunity to meet her, except through her books, I am still going to announce to the world that here is a true healer, someone who understands the politics of the world, but lives and works through her heart.

I found it interesting that she applied her Four Pathways approach to a specific disease process - that of cancer. In her introduction, Dale speaks of losing her father to cancer. She speaks of the fact that statistics show the poor survival rate for cancer, and that it is time that we began addressing cancer in a different fashion, taking it away from the world of numbers. Speaking from experience, I can say that cancer affects more than the patient - it affects their family, their friends - literally everyone they come into contact with. My father died of cancer shortly before his fortieth birthday (and only a few months before my thirteenth birthday). I was close to my father and have not yet, at the age of fifty-seven, come to resolution about his passing. There is my life with my father, and my life without him, and it is not the same life. This book will be an important book for many, many people. For those going through cancer, for those helping someone through cancer, and for those of us yet to heal from losing someone to cancer.

The Four Pathways concept was developed through Dale's fifteen years of energy work. Within this system, the healer functions as a facilitator for the client, helping the client to access their own healing power. The whole process begins with the client agreeing to heal, agreeing that they want to rid themselves of their cancer. (Note: My personal feeling is that this process can be used to heal from any and all processes of dis-ease.)

Each of the four pathways operates under its own rules and regulations, and contains powerful healing energies. The four pathways are the elemental pathway, the power pathway, the imagination pathway and the divine pathway. The elemental pathway is oriented towards the physical. Here is where we look for the concrete causes of cancer, and where we apply the physical treatments, such as diet, herbs and chemotherapy. The power pathway deals with the supernatural, and energies that are powerful enough to bring about instant illness ... and instant health! The imagination pathway is where we meet our magical selves, and where we have the ability to manifest our wishes and goals. On the divine pathway we open to universal love, which Dale addresses as the ultimate cure of all time.

All pathways have the same destination - that of a Greater Reality. In that Greater Reality, we are all whole and healthy. A change made to one pathway will be reflected in changes in the other three pathways. Dale posits that to heal ourselves from cancer, we need to be able to shift from one level of reality to another, to search for both the causes of the cancer and the solutions to it. Advanced Chakra Healing provides us with the tools that we need to work on the pathways, as well as a map for shifting between realities. These are the most powerful tools that we will ever have, and they are tools of the mind!

I think the reality of this book is well phrased by Dale herself. She asks us to imagine that we are in a workshop on healing, and the instructor presents the following objectives:

* Know the invisible as observable
* Know the concrete as unreal
* Heal by creating dreams that are real

To meet these goals, in-depth information is presented on the pathways, how to recognize them, and how to work with them. Once this information is in place, the tool of mapping is presented, which allows us to enter each of the pathways, find the root of the cancer, as well as its secondary locations, and facilitate a healing.

Dale writes with clarity, and with clear knowledge of the process. She has a deep understanding of the human soul, of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual systems that encompass us as human beings, and of how to facilitate healing within ourselves. Working with the pathways, and within our chakra system, she brings us to a greater understanding and acceptance of ourselves, and brings us to a place where we want to heal, and are ready to heal.

Throughout the book are sidebars - some appear as small sections of text, some as larger sections of text, that bring home points relevant to the subject of each chapter. There is a quiz in the beginning of the book that will help the reader to determine and understand their psychic style (how information comes to them), and their innate intuitive abilities. An entire section acts as a quick reference for healing tools and suggestions, as well as an extensive reading list for each pathway.

I highly recommend this book to everyone. It is a great boon for those involved with cancer (whether as a patient or as someone working through the process with someone who is afflicted with cancer), but it is also a tool that is so big it has no dimensions for healing of all kinds. This is a "must have" reference book for anyone who wishes to take control of their own life, and their own health.
