This will be the last Newsletter for the summer
season: we are having a month break from training. Training will
start back on the 3rd of May,2004 and we hope everyone has a well
deserved break.
We would like to thank everyone that has helped
out over the summer season, especially at carnivals and at Friday
night pointscore. Without your help, these things cannot go ahead
and we look forward to seeing you all back for the winter season,
or back at Friday night pointscore next year.
The Dapto S.C. will
be holding their Annual General Meeting in the Dapto SC clubroom
on Monday, 10th May commencing at 7.30 PM All members are invited
to attend. If you wish to nominate for a committee position, you
MUST be a financial member of the Dapto SC and this can be done
on the night. All positions will be available for nomination.

ACT Championship
Four swimmers travelled
to the Canberra to compete at the ACT Championship on on the 12th
- 14th of March. They included Grant Peters, Leanne Kidd, Leisha
Southwell and Michael Neall. Among them they swam six personal
best times and won two medals. Special mention to Leisha Southwell
for her effort, qualifying for the 100m and 200m butterfly at
the Australian Age Championships in Perth...........Well done!
Ryan Hanson was recently selected in a country
camp as a result of his good performance at the NSW Summer Country
Championship. The team had a weekend camp at Wollongong Surf Leisure
Resort, and them competed in a Country vs Metro meet. Congratulations
to Ryan for his selection in this squad.
Helensburgh Carnival
A number of our younger swimmers were selected
by the Dapto SC to compete at the Helensburgh carnival, to encourage
them into competing at regular carnivals. These swimmers were,
Cassandra Robins, Eliza Kennedy, Rhiannon Hanson, Kiara Tuchins,
Madison Kennedy, Ashleigh Cambridge, Rebecca Gill, Shayna Graham,
Amanda Neall, Lauren Hanson, Brielle Baker, Paige Tuchin, Amber
Lea Pender, Maddison Smithers,Morgan Thompson, Alexandra Kennedy,
Dean Pender, Mitchell Grice, Luke Baker, Jay Morris, Cameron Thompson,
Travis Taylor, Damien Robinson, Wade Dyer, John Neall, Sam Rieck
and Brendon Neall. All swimmers swam well!! There was also an
Over 30's relay entered and fun was had by all. (These dedicated
athletes are now in training for next year!!!!)
Our first carnival for the winter season will
be at Tugeranong in the ACT on June 5th - 6th. If you have any
