Sean and Alex Bennett [Alex's hat was taken off for the picture only; his hat was returned soon after!]
Sean
Bennett has been a faculty member at Horton since 1995-1996, after spending
a year at Kings County Academy. Mr. Bennett has taught a number of courses
over the years, including Law, Global History, Geography, Economics, Sociology,
English 10, History 11, English 10 Alternate, Communications 12, Ancient
and Medieval History and Canadian History 12.
Mr.
Bennett received his Honours Bachelor's Degree in History, with minors
in Classics and English, in 1992 from Acadia
University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. In 1993 he graduated from Wilfrid
Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario with a Master of Arts in History,
and in 1994 he graduated from Memorial University
of Newfoundland in St. John's with a Bachelor of Secondary Education.
Mr.
Bennett is currently teaching English 10 and History 12 [Canadian], and
lives in Falmouth, NS with his wife Heather, son Alex, dog Sam and cats
Winston and Mouchie. He is originally from Wallbrook in the beautiful Gaspereau
Valley. Mr. Bennett was the head coach of the Horton Hockey Griffins for
five years, the boys rugby team for three and is a proud member of the
Hantsport
