Laurie's Travels in India. Laurie Marshall who is well known to members of the branch will be presenting a slide show encompassing his many visits to India . He recently helped in arranging the production of a series of videos of Indian Steam.

Beat the Clock & Taffy's Travels The first part of the evening will be devoted to members slides. Six members will have the chance to show ten slides each with the second part for Peter Jones's 2nd part of his travels.

Kiwi Country. Bruce Cakebread will, with the aid of slides, talk about his visit to New Zealand early in 1999. The chance to see pictures of the oldest steam locomotive providing a daily service on the State Railways. Also pictures of vintage electric and diesel locomotives.
Monday 10th April 2000
The History and Views of Brighton Railway Works Gerry Collins, a member of the Brighton Circle, will be showing slides of the inside and outside of the Works. Numerous artifacts will also be on display. A meeting not to be missed.

Any Questions - Representatives of Railtrack and Train Operating Companies(TOC) . This is your real chance to ask questions of a general nature . I am sure all the questions will be properly answered. To ensure a reasonable balance of questions please submit your written questions by the April Meeting to the Secretary. Naturally questions from the floor on the evening will be very welcome.

Southern Region - in the 70's & 80's. John Parkin who has been a member of the SEG for many years is travelling from South London to give a presentation of the slide photographs he took in the 70's & 80's. This will be a truly electric railway evening.

South Hampshire
branch, in conjunction with the Southern area of the
LRTA,
hold their joint meetings at The Eastleigh Railway Institute
in Romsey Road and start at 19.30. This is a short walk due west from Eastleigh
railway station.
There is a charge of £1.00 to cover meeting costs and light refreshments are
available at the Institute. Visitors and prospective
new members
are invited
to attend.
Sussex
branch meetings take place in the 'Glebe Room' at Southwick Community
Centre, Southwick Street, Southwick (a short walk due north from Southwick
Station) and commence at 19:30. Light refreshments are available during the
interval.

of £1.00 being requested towards the cost of running the meetings.
