Dear friend, This is S.S. Vassan from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania writing to you. Basically I am from Mayiladuturai, Tamil Nadu. I am a computer consultant working in USA. I understand, you are connected to Mayiladuturai in someway or other. I am an alumni of DBTR National Higher Secondary School, Mayiladuturai. It is one of the very best schools in our town. The school is reaching its 100th year of service. It was started in 1901 by a noble-hearted family. The school and its teachers have been giving their very best of the service to produce good students like you. Many of the students from the school are in very best positions in their life. May be your parents might have studied in the school. The school is celebrating its centenary year starting June 2000. We from the alumni association have decided to build a Centenary Celebration Building to commemorate the occasion. I am an office-bearer of the alumni association. We are on the look-out of our students who are interested in making their part in making the occasion a grand success. Recently, one of our proud students, Mr. Ram Prakash donated 1 lakh rupees towards the construction of two class rooms in the new building. We are looking for more students like Ram Prakash who are proud of their school and attribute their success to the school. I have set up a web page for our school.
