BZ2 Units
Battlezone 2: ISDF
Units
Saber
Battletank
|
The sleek new N1A2 (Codename: Saber) Tank is the ISDF's
rough'n'ready general purpose combat vehicle.
|
Thunderbolt
Scout
|
Light agile and extremely fast, the Thunderbolt is the
ISDF's quick strike attack vehicle. With the largest radar range of any
ISDF vehicle, the T-bolt also serves as the ISDF's early scouting unit.
|
Mortar Bike
|
When the Scion threat was detected, the JA model
reconnaissance bike was immediately refitted for combat. Armed only with a
powerful mortar and it's lightning quick maneuvering, the 'Jackal' is the
ISDF's turret killer.
|
Walker
|
The pinnacle of human bio-metal war machine technology, the
B9 series Land Master (Code Name: Attila) is death on two legs. Heavily
armored and armed to the teeth, the only drawback of the Land Master's are
their overall speed and maneuverability. This shortcoming is rarely a
drawback as the Attila's primary function is combat support and terrain
holding.
|
Scavenger
|
The ISDF Scavenger can retrieve loose scrap from the field
and return it to base for processing. In addition, the new 5 series models
can deploy directly over the scrap pools recently discovered on the outer
most planets and moons. Once deployed, Scavengers can extract scrap from
rich veins underneath a planet's surface.
|
Assault Tank
|
The Bull Dog is the ISDF's long-range assault vehicle.
Mounted on top of its independent turret is a specially design assault
cannon capable of launching most ISDF ordnance up to 300 meters. Its heavy
armor and duel mortar shafts make it an extremely hard target to take out
at close range. It’s only drawbacks are its overall speed and line-of-site
requirements.
|
Turret
|
Although compact in design, to present an enemy with a small
target, the "Rattler" mobile turret boasts two heavy gun ports and light
armor. Because of the extra weight, this unit must deploy before it is
able to engage a target. The Rattler is an excellent early defensive unit.
|
Service
Truck
|
The ISDF Service Truck is more a robot than an actual truck.
Equipped with special biometal processor, the SV-A can break down and emit
raw biometal particles as a concentrated beam. The infusion of these
particles on biometal hulls repairs damage and replenishes ammunition
reserves anywhere in the field.
|
Rocket Tank
|
The "Hell-Cat" Mobile Rocket Platform is one of the newly
designed weapons in the ISDF's upgraded arsenal. With 2 missile hardpoints
and one rocket, it primarily functions as a combat support unit. However,
its rocket delivery capabilities makes it an excellent anti-air unit.
|
Constructor
|
The ISDF Constructor is a base utility vehicle that is
produced by the Recycler. It's purpose is to build all of the
infrastructure needed for a fully operational base, from Gun Towers to
Service Bays and building upgrades. It is also the only unit that can
demolish a structure for extra scrap or
relocation.
| Battlezone 2: Scion Units
Warrior
Battletank
|
ISDF pilots will enconter this enemy vehicle regularly - the
blue and gold Warrior is the general purpose combat unit of the Scions.
|
Scout
|
The Scion's Scout is their only means of long-range enemy
detection. Lightning fast and armed with a powerful cannon this unit can
be a handful even for heavily armed tanks. In the early game, these units
are the Scion's life-blood.
|
Sentry
|
Agile, tough and versatile, the Scion Sentry was forged for
open area vehicle combat. It is best served as a combat support unit,
where it's quickness and tenacity draw enemy fire and keep them
disoriented.
|
Mauler
|
Maulers are the base busting unit of the Scion armada. Fast
(for their size) with a powerful but short range attack, the Mauler is one
of the few Scion units that benefits from armor protection. ISDF
commanders must be on a constant look-out for Mauler pack attacks. Without
a few gun towers and Assault Tank support, you're hosed.
|
Harvester
|
Similar in form and function to the ISDF Scavengers;
Harvesters can retrieve loose scrap or deploy directly over scrap pools to
extract scrap from underneath a planet's crust.
|
Assault Tank
|
The Scion's ultimate combat support vehicle, the Titan is
aptly named. With heavy armor and an awesome compliment of weaponry
mounted on an independently mobile turret, a single Titan in the field can
thin out the ranks of an enemy army easily.
|
Turret
|
Guardians have given up speed and agility for armor
protection. As the only early Scion unit with armor, Guardians are a vital
part of the Scion armada's early defensive plan. Large squads of Drones
and Sentries can stay in the field for extended periods knowing Guardians
are protecting their field structures.
|
Healer
|
The Scion Healer emanates raw biometal particles that repair
and replenish other Scion units and structures around it. Small and weak,
it is an easy target if left undefended.
|
Archer
|
The Archer has remained largely hidden from the ISDF
primarily because its weapon system allows it to deliver damage from
several hundred meters. With the ability to fly and the variety of weapon
types it can carry, the Archer is one of the Scion's more versatile
weapons - good at base assault or even against other air units.
|
Builder
|
Serving the same purpose as its ISDF counterpart, the Scion
Builder is rumored to be modeled after an insect-like creature that was
considered sacred by the ancient civilization of the Cthonians.
|
Lancer
|
The Scion Lancer is a small and light assault craft with a
long range Stinger Missile as it's primary weapon.
