John French, aged 86 years, died at 8:30 o'clock last evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Baker, who resides on the Pre-emption Road one mile west of this city. Death was due to his advanced old age. He is survived by three sons, Linzy French of this city, Eugene French of Chicago, and Zina French of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. William Baker of Geneva; three brothers, Seymour French of Palmyra, Carmi French of Michigan, and George French of Syracuse; and one sister, Caroline French of Syracuse. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon from Mrs. Baker's home at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. J. B. Hubbs, D. D., will officiate and burial will be in Washington Street Cemetery.SECOND GENERATION

MARRIED - In Geneva, Thursday, Dec. 30th, 1875, by the Rev. U. B. Guiscard, Mr. Joseph Parish, Jr., to Miss Elizabeth Goodson, both of Phelps.
Mrs. Elizabeth Parish, 68, wife of Joseph Parish, died suddenly at 5 o'clock last evening when she suffered a cerebral hemorrage while in a small barn at the rear of her home, 285 North Division Street. She was discovered by her son-in-law, Charles Horr, who carried her into the house. She expired before Dr. W. H. Coe, who was summoned could aid her. She has been in apparent good health and her death came as a shock to her family. She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. Charles Horr, and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be made in Throopsville. Prayer will be held at the house at 1:30 o'clock.JOSEPH:
Died Friday, May 20, 1930, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles Horr, 225 N. Division St., Auburn, Joseph Parish, aged 81 years. Funeral services will be held from the home Monday afternoon, June 2 1930, at 3 o'clock. Burial in Throopsville Cemetery.

The funeral service of Mr. William Goodson was held at the little Episcopal Chapel of the Pines last Thursday, Rev. Dr. Rankine of Geneva reading the ever beautiful burial service in his usual impressive manner and tenderly spoke words of comfort to the sadly bereaved ones. Mr. Goodson was a young man of exemplary habits, beloved by all who knew him. He had been ill 2 years by that fell destroyer, consumption. His young wife who is thus so sadly bereft has the tender sympathy of all the community.RHODA:
We take great pleasure in announcing the marriage of Miss Amelia Goodson to Mr. Chas. S. Gray, last Wednesday evening. The ceremony was performed at the residence of the bride's parents a few miles north of Geneva, the Rev. Dr. Rankine officiating, in the presence of about seventy invited guests. The newly married couple were the recipients of many elegant and useful presents, and the sincere congratulations of their many relatives and friends. Mrs. Verna F. Baker of Pulteney St., died early this morning in Geneva General Hospital after a short illness. She was the widow of William L. Baker. Final rites will be held at a time to be announced. Friends may call at the residence of Mrs. Vernon Alexander, 674 Castle St., this evening and Thursday. Mrs. Baker was born Nov. 18, 1874, in the Town of Phelps, the daughter of the late John and Amelia Ridley French. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a communicant of St. Peter's Episcopal Church. Survivors are one son, Marsden W. Baker, Geneva; Mrs. Vernon Alexander and Mrs. Edna L. Pitcher, both of Geneva; one grandson, David L. Alexander; and a great-grandson, Peter Alexander, Geneva.THIRD GENERATION
