• I ask you to help boycott these companies because they openly test on animals.
I know its hard, because they put out a lot of products, but do your best, it's all I can ask.
I heard that Colgate-Palmolive announced recently that they no longer test on animals. This is only half-true, I found out, thanks to someone who emailed me to tell me what's going on. They pulled the same shit that P&G pulled. They stopped testing certain products on certain animals at certain times of the week depending on the wind velocity, the moon phase and the direction Polaris is facing as the monkies come flying outta my ass. Do yourself a favor and don't beleive a word these people say. All they really wanted to do is get some of the heat off of their backs. "Ohhh, I get it, well, if you're only testing on *some* animals, then I guess it's okay..." Yeah, right. What we need to do is keep the heat on until they stop everything. So break out the old posterboards, literature and start rehursing those chants. The bright side of this is, we're already half done.
It has recently come to my attention that a great injustice is being done to our common household pet food. You know when an animal dies and you give the body to the vet to dispose of? Well, the vets are in turn, handing it over to pet food companies to be chopped up and put in their pet food. Disgusted? So am I. Wanna know what to look for? How you can tell? Read the ingredients on the back of the can before your purchase. If it says the words: "MEAT BY-PRODUCT", "BONE MEAL" or any others listed in the below link, you know it's got a little bit of Wolfie in it. Other options are, for one thing, feed them more nutritious food, like the stuff we eat. You can bury your pet yourself, you can cremate it, or you can get a brand of pet food that doesn't have meat by-product in it. (keep your eye on the chicken flavors and peticularly cat food for some reason.)
Also, the stuff they use to euthanize the cats and dogs at the vet's office doesn't go away once the animal is dead, and by eating it's flesh, your pet is slowing dying itself!

Look, I'm not going to bore you by telling you what you can just as easily read on any one of these sites, but I will stress how important it is for these animals to have your support. Imagine a world without them? Would we want the only mental image of a tiger to show our kids to be a cartoon on a cereal box? Or some pampered, docile breeding machine wasting away in a cage at the zoo? What about when a pet runs away from home? Do we want to constantly fear that it will end up in a cage at a testing laboratory? (For all of you that have ever lost a pet, I hope that hit home, because if you got the pet back, you're damn lucky.)Yet people still sit there, convinced that it's good enough if some else does it. Well guess what? You are that someone else. Most humans don't realize that by destroying the Earth and Her creatures, we're destroying ourselves. We've done enough harm. The time has come to make amends. So for their sake...get up and DO something!!
