Welcome to Club Storm Volleyball!

Check out pictures of an exciting practice with world-renowned coaches: Sue Gozansky and Diana Cole!

Congratulations to the entire Club Storm Family on another successful season!

Subject: Club Storm Travel Reservations now available

The travel site is called http://www.ytbtravel.com/volleyballtravel. Please use the site anytime and the money earned will go towards Club Storm.

When you are looking for hotels, flights or car rentals, using this site will help your club recoup 85% of the commission money. The booking agent and supplier of the site will earn 15%. So, an example might look like this: Club Storm rents 50 rooms x 2 nights at $50.00 per night . That is 5k for the rooms. You get between 8 to 10 % commission; 10% would be $500.00. 85% of that goes to your club ($425.00) and 15% ($75.00) goes to the agent. Several clubs around our area use this to make money, including Pinellas Heat, and they pay $50.00 per month to maintain the site plus $450.00 to open it. Because you are a non-profit organization I am giving you my site and will work with Vicky Page to product weekly reports that will let you know how you are doing.

Our plans for the building of our two new Sand Volleyball Courts at the "Youth and Family Center" are continuing. The Bob Sierra Family YMCA has received a generous County grant to help us finish Phase II of the Youth and Family Center and our volleyball courts are included in these plans. This grant- along with the donations from our wonderful parents and Club Storm friends during our 2008 season- will be instrumental in helping us to achieve our goals for expanding the sport of Volleyball at our local YMCA. Our new Beach Volleyball Club- "Sand Storm Volleyball of Tampa"- should begin next summer!! We have many experienced Club Storm coaches who are competitive beach volleyball players. They are so enthusiastic about this next phase of our growing Volleyball Club! More updates will follow. Let's keep our fundraising efforts going strong so we can build our sand courts and kick off our inaugural season of Club Sand Storm! Additional beach volleyball opportunities are also available in the Tampa area. Check out the links page for more opportunities!

Congratulations to former long-term Club Storm players who recently signed commitment papers to play volleyball in college! Stephanie Krull will be playing for Webber International University and Natalie Williams will be playing for Warner Southern. Great job girls, we are very proud of you!

Club Storm policies, by-laws, and grievance procedures can now be found on the forms page.

For those interested in fundraising opportunities, there is an official Club Storm sponsorship form and an official Club Storm fundraising letter that you can use. There are also Club Storm "wish lists" located there, outlining what materials the club is looking to obtain with fundraising money (or direct donations!). That information is located on the forms page.
