Day's Til Father's Day 2003.

Father's Day is celebrated in the US on Sunday,
June 18, 2000. Other Countries celebrate
throughout the year.

Father's Day is a day of commemoration and
celebration of Dad. It is a day to not only
honor your father, but all men who have acted
as a father figure in your life - whether as
Stepfathers, Uncles, Grandfathers, or "Big
Brothers."

It is a time of burnt toast and breakfast in bed,
family gatherings, crayon scribbled "I Love You"s
and, of course, that lovely new tie! LOL
Hope not eh..No Ties This Year : )

However you decide to pamper Dad this Father's Day,
just keep in mind that it's his special day. Be
sure to let him know how much you appreciate him
and adore his quirky ways.

So buckle up, turn up the radio and get ready for
a Father's Day ride with some fun Holiday things
for you, your family, and your Dad. We've got
stories to read, music to enjoy, puzzles and games
to play, pictures for the kids to color, and a
chance to honor YOUR DAD at our celebration! So
bring your kids and tell your friends. And please

Activities for Father's Day are similar to those
for Mother's Day. Breakfast in bed, prepared by a
father's children, gifts and cards, and also a day
spent doing what a father would like to do can make
this a special day for him.

Today, Father's Day is another day for greeting
card companies to rejoice, and sales of the most
popular gifts for Dad (shirts, ties, and electric
razors) increase considerably. Perhaps most telling of
Dad's perpetual role in the eyes of their children,
though, is the fact that more collect calls are
recorded on Father's Day then on any other day of the
year!

Fathers Are Wonderful People

Fathers are wonderful people
Too little understood,
And we do not sing their praises
As often as we should...

For, somehow, Father seems to be
The man who pays the bills,
While Mother binds up little hurts
And nurses all our ills...

And Father struggles daily
To live up to "his image"
As protector and provider
And "hero of the scrimmage"...

And perhaps that is the reason
We sometimes get the notion,
That Fathers are not subject
To the thing we call emotion,

But if you look inside Dad's heart,
Where no one else can see
You'll find he's sentimental
And as "soft" as he can be...

But he's so busy every day
In the grueling race of life,
He leaves the sentimental stuff
To his partner and his wife...

But Fathers are just wonderful
In a million different ways,
And they merit loving compliments
And accolades of praise,

For the only reason Dad aspires
To fortune and success
Is to make the family proud of him
And to bring them happiness...

And like Our Heavenly Father,
He's a guardian and a guide,
Someone that we can count on
To be always on our side.
