   Joseph Eckrote b. April 26, 1830(Nescopeck Twp., Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania) d. November 6, 1906(Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania) son of Daniel Eckrote and Lydia Bittenbender married Martha Hottenstein b. 1832 d. August 30, 1925(Luzerne Co., Pennsylvania) daughter of Peter Hottenstein and Sarah S. Warner.

   The family resided in this home where twelve children were born to this union as follows:

3) Maria Eckrote b. 1854 d. ? married Jacob Shellhammer and Dan Phillips Sr.

5) Sarah A. Eckrote b. 1862 d. 1960 married William L. Lippencott

6) Daniel Eckrote b. 1864 d. 1926 married Catherine Warner

7) Finna Eckrote b. 1864 d. 1926 married Henry Hoffman (or Balliet)

8) Mosses A. Eckrote b. 1868 d. 1951 married Ameilia Buchman and Florance Clark

9) Emma Eckrote b. 1869 d. ? married Josiah Daubert

10) Infant son b. ? d. 1870

11) Lydia Eckrote b. 1872 d. 1952 married Joseph Hoffman

12) Jacob Eckrote (my line) b. 1874 d. 1959 married Mary McQuown.
