This is one of many people's favorite wildflowers. A native plant most often found in grasslands and other open areas Black-eyed Susan is sometimes called Brown-eyed Susan. The yellow rays and brown disk identify it as a member of the coneflower group. All are similar, but Black-eyed Susan is the most commonly seen.
