~WARM HEARTS~
~2003~
~88 PLUS 2~
You did it again!!!! Thank you!!!! Ninety coats were given out this year. The best year we've had and the coldest year we've had. Of course, there is always a story and this year had a couple of memorable ones.
Driving into the parking lot I noticed there were no cars. I was devastated thinking where are the people? When I walked inside there had to about sixty or so adults and over 30 children waiting. We quickly arranged eight long tables and placed the coats in size order on them. All the children that were there and the siblings who had to stay home had a coat, or so I thought. When we were all done and people were leaving there were two small boys in ters. They had no new coat. I explained to them that I left their coats home by mistake and if they could wait twenty minutes I would go and get their coats. I quickly dashed to Burlington Coat Factory and bought two more coats and rushed back with them. If only you could see the smiles on their faces and the pride in their Mom's heart.
I brought the film into a national drugstore 9am the next morning only to receive a phone call that the one hour photo machine broke and ate the film. It took a little time but photos from someone else were found. I hope you feel the pride that was in the room that night when children who came in wearing worn out jackets, walked out with brand new warm coats on.
Thank you for supporting us in keeping Vanessa's memory alive at a very difficult time of the year for us. Your support means so much more than you know.

~SOMEWHERE OUT THERE~
Somewhere out there, beneath the pale moon light Someone's thinking of me and loving me tonight Somewhere out there, someone is saying a prayer That we'll find one another in that big somewhere out there And even though I know how very far apart we are It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby It helps to think that we are sleeping underneath the same big sky Somewhere out there if love can see us through Then we'll be together, Somewhere out there, Out where dreams come true.
