Polar Music Award

The Polar Music Award ceremony took place in Stockholm, Sweden. Both Bruce and Patti attended and could be seen sitting in the audience, holding hands. Later Bruce and Patti were seated at the same table as the King and Queen of Sweden. Bruce is honored with what can be considered as the Nobel Prize of Music and has been established as one of the world's finest prizes for achievements in music. King Carl XVI Gustav of Sweden presented Bruce with the Polar Music Prize. The American ambassador to Sweden read a letter of congratulations to Bruce from former President Clinton and Bruce himself gave a speech and played an acoustic version of "Thunder Road".
