I know what
you're thinking
For I've been
there
To go to bed
crying
While saying
your prayers
To wake to
sunshine
Filtering
through your room
And not finding
happiness
All was taken
away so soon
I know how
you feel
And how long
the days can be
I know total
loneliness
Because you're
just like me
I know how
hard it is
To look for
tomorrow to come
When you feel
like hiding
And have no
place to run
I know how
the memories
Will flood
your mind
And take you
back
To a happier
time
I know all
these feelings
For I've been
there
As I've walked
this road
Sometimes
going no where
I know in my
heart
How we all
live for today
How memories
can hurt
And yet help
other days
I know what
you feel
For we all
feel the same
We can't find
happiness
While our
children are away
But one day
we will
Be all together
once more
No more tears
and heartache
When we walk
through Heavens Door
