I know who
you are
In the blink
of an eye
I can tell
a lot about you
Because I've
seen you cry
I know you
wake up some days
Feeling so
all alone
I know you'd
give anything
To bring your
child back home
I know who
you are
When the Holidays
are here
I see the
sadness
I see the
fear
I watch you
standing
Staring out
the window pane
Remembering
past times
When tears
come like rain
I see you at
night
When you are
all alone
And how you
cry softly
Wishing your
child was back home
I see you going
places
You once used
to go to
Remembering
the good times
When you child
was with you
Yes, I know
you
And you know
me
For we are
parents
Trying to
glimpse eternity
I'll always
know you
For I feel
the same
When my tears
fall
Like a gentle
summer's rain
I know you
We think the
same things
How our heart
beats
When the telephone
rings
How we want
One more chance
To hold our
child again
To sing and
dance
Our hearts
feel the same
As only a
parent knows
Who's given
their child
To God's Heavenly
