~I'M
A SURVIVOR~
A long time
ago
On a cool
fall day
My heart was
broken
When my child
went away
No one understands
What I feel
Unless they've
climbed this mountain
That seems
so uphill
No one but
another
Can understand
this pain
The endless
tears
The feeling
of going insane
Someone once
told me
So long ago
That I would
survive
If I'd just
let go
I cannot let
go
Of my child
I love
I've only
survived
Knowing Heaven
is above
I have survived
But there's
mountains I've climbed
Yet I never
let go
Or left my
memories behind
For it is
my memories
That's helped
me survive
And tears
of healing
And many I've
cried
I've survived
this mountain
And you will
too
Sharing with
others who understand
All that you
feel
Days are tough
And nights
are filled
With memories
of my child
As I've climbed
this hill
But we can
make it
We will somehow
survive
Our love and
memories
Will never
die
