"FROM SHARON'S HEART"
POETRY WRITTEN BY:
~SHARON JEAN BRYANT~

~MEMORIAL DAY~

She held the flowers
In her arms that day
Standing beside two
Veteran's graves

Tears started to well
In her eyes
Remembering the one man
And the day she became his bride

Shoulders hunched
Her heart breaking in two

Remembering the son
Who gave his life too

To honor them both
For what they gave
A heart broken wife and mother
Stands beside their graves

Memorial Day to many
Is more than a Holiday
It's remembering the lives
That war took away

~©SHARON JEAN BRYANT~
2003

May we all remember our servicemen and women who gave their lives for our freedom
