My heart remembers 
That fall September day
When the angels called
And took you away

Our dreams and plans
Came to an end
Now to Heaven
My messages I send

I won't forget you
And all that we shared
The years we had
Cannot be compared

The laughter the fun
Just you and I
I miss you so much
I think and I sigh

I kept my promise
That I gave to you
Watching over your father
For I love him too

He misses you so much
And talks about you to me
He knows I understand
A parent's love through eternity

Each night I know you hear me
When I send a prayer your way
For my heart will always remember
The day you went away
