I wish for you my child
A year filled with love
And though I can't be with you
In your home in Heaven above
I wish for you the memories
That I have upon this earth
Remembering our life together
Knowing how much love is worth
I wish that I could be with you
I wish I could see your face
I wish I could hug you once more
Oh how my heart would race
I wish life had been different
And you and I had been given more
time
I wish when people ask, "How are
you?"
I wish I could just say, "Fine."
I wish I could have been one of the
lucky ones
And tragedy had not touched my heart
But no matter how much time passes
Our love will never part
I'll light your candle for peace
on New Year's
It's glow I hope you see
No matter how many years pass
I'll always wish you were here with
me
I'll love you forever Andy
